World Youth Day 2016 - Krakow, Poland
What?
St. Anselm’s Parish is looking to send a delegation of young people to the World Youth Day Conference in Krakow, Poland. This event is an international meeting of youth from around the world who gather together in one place with their catechists, priests, bishops and the pope in order to profess faith in Jesus Christ. The World Youth Day program includes several days of events with the Holy Father as well as spiritual and cultural events such as liturgies, catechesis, concerts, performances, and encounters with renowned communities and religious movements from around the world. This years theme focuses on mercy. Why? This trip is an invaluable opportunity for the young people in our parish and community, because it offers a multidimensional experience. This conference will provide you with an opportunity to live our Catholic faith. This conference is uniquely tailored to youth and their relationship with the Church and God. Furthermore, this trip provides an opportunity to be an active global citizen. We will travel together to Poland, to be ambassadors of Toronto and Canada as a whole. Experiencing a new country, culture, and community! More Details –
But - We would love to make this trip happen, but due to apparent lack of interest, it may not! If we cannot find at least 7-10 dedicated delegates, we will not pursue this trip. Please send us an email to express your interest or support, or to request further information! Sincerely, Shannon O’Dwyer Director, St, Anselm’s Prefects |
